I found this idly browsing LJ and it’s ended up being PERFECT for the research for my Illustration optional module. She’s even done an illustration for Little Red Riding Hood, and a Gulliver’s Travels-esque piece. There’s that perfect mix of beautiful and ugly in her images, things that aren’t quite perfect, that I love. Great choices of colour, too.

Ngh. I just found this while blog-hopping, and I’m bowled over. The way I wish I could do illustrations, if only I had the patience…

Just as I find a style of drawing I’m getting very excited by, I find someone who’s been doing the same thing better for ages. No lines, and excellently solid-looking without getting into gradient mesh territory. Also, they made a net for a papercraft Ceiling Cat, which means they win forever and ever: http://tubbypaws.blogspot.com/2008/03/meow-you-can-has-lolcats.html
